The G90 introduces a bold new direction for Genesis, with a suite of advanced assistance features and a variety of new technologies that enhance every journey.
The G90’s status as a best-in-class sedan is exemplified by its Clamshell Hood, which features a single panel that combines the hood and fenders to eliminate panel gaps, creating a major highlight of its definingly sleek design.
As key pillars of the Genesis design language, the 'Two-Line' rear combination lamps are elongated with the trunk, giving the model a strong and well-balanced image—with the Genesis emblem perfectly positioned in between.
The sleek design of the headlamps was made possible by intercrossing the lens of the Daytime Running Lights with the turn signal, the high beams, and the Micro Lens Array powered low beams.
Drawing attention to the front of the vehicle’s interior are slim air vents that run seamlessly into the next-generation infotainment system and connected car Integrated Cockpit, which combines the cluster and navigation into an attractive panoramic display.
Hands On Detection (HOD) allows the vehicle to accurately detect when the driver is holding the steering wheel. When driver assistance systems such as Highway Driving Assist are activated, HOD precisely determines whether or not the driver is holding the steering wheel, issuing warnings when necessary.
Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist will warn the driver during parking, pulling out, or when a collision with nearby pedestrians or objects is detected. Even after the warning, if necessary, it will apply emergency braking to prevent a collision.
This feature monitors the distance from the preceding vehicle on highways, automatically maintaining your chosen speed and a safe distance, even when the road curves.
Detects collision risks with vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists ahead, warning and braking to prevent accidents. In addition it will assist with emergency braking during left turns to avoid collisions with oncoming vehicles. Shift-By-Wire, which offers a smooth transition between gears, lives where the driver can easily take control. It also features the G90's unique G-Matrix patterns in real glass, providing extra brightness and a sensational touch.
The G90 actively controls both the rear wheel steering angle along with the front wheel steering depending on the driving conditions. During low-speed cornering, the rear wheels are rotated in the opposite direction of the front wheels to reduce the steering radius. Then, while cornering at mid or high-range RPMs, the rear wheels are rotated in the same direction as the front wheels to reduce the amount of body slip.
To maintain an oasis of silence inside the cabin, the G90 cancels road noise generated while driving by emitting an inverted sound wave.
